Rick Sutton - Volunteer
I am Rick, married to Bette and we have parented two grown up lads and are the grandparents of a grandson and daughter. I am in insurance and employee benefit sales and retirement/investment planning for the past 39 years. But being a former public school educator and coach, i have maintained a connection to youth of all ages and in numerous venues including coaching, officiating wrestling and baseball, HS Junior Achievement and literacy and social studies with elementary students. I was invited to speak to the Kiwanis club of DTC in the late 80's and was subsequently asked (and without hesitation) did join...That decision and my participation is one that i have always congratulated myself upon and is a core aspect of my life's work This is my second term as President and I have collaborated in numerous and greatly varied club sponsored activities and programs that are intended to support, benefit and advocate the youth (especially the disadvantaged) of our communities.
Mary Forhan - Volunteer
I am Mary. I have been a member of Kiwanis DTC since 2005 and have served as President, Secretary, Newsletter Editor, and Liaison for four different Kiwanis-sponsored student community service organizations including I Am Academy Builders and K-Kids, Powell MS Builders, and Rock Canyon HS Key Club. I am the Rocky Mountain District Administrator for Builders Club. I have a heart and passion for service and love the Kiwanis message, “Kids need Kiwanis.” Our outreach to children in need around the world makes a difference, “one child, one community at a time.” I am retired from full-time teaching but still have a part-time job as Vice-President of a small literacy company, Alphabet Workout, designed to teach children ages 3-6 to read. My other passions are family (we have three grown children) and travel and I love the adventure of seeing other people and other cultures around the world.
Keith Schupp - Volunteer
Hello, I am Keith Schupp, I am happily married with two adult children. My wife Melissa and I were fortunate to accept a job relocation to Colorado back in 2010. After a few years of reacquainting myself with the landscape, I was ready to re-focus my efforts by volunteering and serving others. Having been a part of Kids-n-Kinship and worked, for many years, with an organization similar to Big Brothers (and Big Sisters) back in Minnesota, I missed the direct involvement with children, after my move. Therefore, with encouragement of a fellow Kiwanian, I joined the Kiwanis Club of DTC in 2013, served as Club President in 2015-16 and I am currently on the Board of Directors. I am happy to say that we have a great group of members, we love to have fun while we are serving others and we accomplish many great things in the community. I am proud to be a Kiwanian!
George McDonough - Volunteer
I'm George and married to Melissa and we have a high school son named Michael. I've been a member of the club since 1993, have held many positions and currently the Fundraising Chair. Graduated from Duquesne University and have been in software sales for over 25 years. While I was in high school a service club member encouraged me to attend college. It was a life changing experience which has led to my commitment to be a role model to the youth in our community.
Frank Zieg - Volunteer
I am Frank, a father of two grown boys and married to Rosa. I've been a member of the Kiwanis Club of DTC since 2000 having held the position of president and now membership chair for over 8 years. I'm a Real Estate Executive with Remax Alliance.
Melissa Schupp - Volunteer
I am Melissa, and I am happily married to my husband, Keith. After moving from Minnesota to Colorado in 2010, mutual friends of ours introduced us to Kiwanis. Being new to the community, I have made great friendships through this service organization and able to give back in many ways. I am currently on the Board of Directors and on the Membership Committee. When I am not working as a Sales Coordinator, I enjoy spending time with my husband, playing with my dog Reagan, golfing, playing on our co-ed softball team and hiking in the mountains with friends.
